TRAINING/NUTRITION LOG: 5/31/11

50yd sprint up a slight incline, walk back and repeat for 12 minutes. Unknown rounds.

7:00 - 300mg caffeine, 648mg Siberian ginseng, 648mg Korean ginseng



8:00 - 50gr whey protein with BCAAs, 300mg fish oil, multivitamin, 2,000iu vitamin D.

I only include the food log because I get questions every day about what I eat and what supplements I take. I find it very boring reading food logs, but here it is...

TRAINING BLOG: 5/25-5/26/11 - A couple light days.

Two very light days, after a bunch of hard stuff. I train six days a week, pretty much every week of the year. I am only able to do this by varying the amount I do from day to day and week to week. I have not taken a full week off of exercise since I began training when I was 14 years old.

 

Of the six days per week, at least one is usually very fast and not as physically demanding. Part of this is just to keep the hunger for harder training on the tough days. The past two days…

I know that when I have a healthy balance of weight training and bodyweight training, I feel the most badass. TRAINING BLOG 5/20-5/21/11 - Lift heavy things, run, repeat.

Following The Paleo Diet and training intelligently.



Today's workout actually scared me a little. I never do more than 5 reps when deadlifting, and usually not immediately after a run. This was tough, but good nutrition has made a difference.



I take less supplements now than ever: A multivitamin, fish oil, vitamin D, some Siberian ginseng and Korean ginseng with a little caffeine boost pre-workout, and some ZMA at night. I probably spend less than $25 per month on… Continue

sport class plus

5/9  Awesome day in sport class today.. new PR.. snatch 71 reps per hand and jerk 70 reps per hand..  previous max was 63-65 for 8 minute sets (4min per arm)  today I was able to push through to 9 min set (4:30 per hand) and hit a few more reps.. felt great to accomplish this goal.  i also did a 7 min set of each @ 55 reps total per hand on each lift...

later i returned for 12 minutes of sprints and 4 rounds of heavy lifts
