Two very light days, after a bunch of hard stuff. I train six days a week, pretty much every week of the year. I am only able to do this by varying the amount I do from day to day and week to week. I have not taken a full week off of exercise since I began training when I was 14 years old.
Of the six days per week, at least one is usually very fast and not as physically demanding. Part of this is just to keep the hunger for harder training on the tough days. The past two days have been little more than a good warm-up and that's it.
