TRAINING:

11/22 (Thanksgiving Day)

Nasty hill sprints and 100 burpees. Didn't feel right all day long after these. Good times! Had that "coppery" taste in my mouth all day, which means I really pushed it!

11/23

100 BURPEES

EASY DEADLIFT SINGLES TO 455# JUST TO KEEP THE GROOVE GREASED.

DOUBLE KETTLEBELL SWINGS (outside the knees)

10 x 5 W/ DOUBLE 40KG.

NUTRITION LOG:

11/22

No junk fest on Thanksgiving!

I don't have an unhealthy food addiction or allergy, and I knew I could get away with a tiny bit of pecan pie with crust. I only had a little bit of a stuffy nose after, so no harm done. I also tried some other pie without a crust, and other than being in a sugar coma afterwards, definitely no harm done. The rest was all turkey, ham, some potatoes, asparagus and salad with a little wine. Who needs anything else? Was with great friends and every minute was wonderful.

I don't get on a soapbox about Thanksgiving and certainly don't restrict anything other than what will make me physically sick (lots of bread or beer). I'm sure my overall calorie intake was no more than usual, and probably even less than some days.

I tell everyone in my gym that fitness is a lifelong thing and one day of the year will not make a difference, but every other day has to be strict. Anything more than one cheat meal per week is asking for disaster.

Other than that one big meal, it was an all-day fast except for a handful of blackberries and some Carnivore protein after my workout.

11/23

730AM-

300mg caffeine

1055am-(postworkout 1st meal)

50gr Carnivore protein w/ 2 tsp brown sugar

3pm-

Went to a Mongolian BBQ. This does not have to be a nutritional disaster, but you have to watch out for the oils. I used just enough to get by and avoided any noodles. I took a bunch of fish oil and cod liver oil to offset this, and drank tons of water.

8pm-

Who cooks turkey the day after Thanksgiving? We do. We got a turkey breast to cook in the crock pot the other day but didn't get to make it because we ended up visiting friends. Stacey cooked ours up in a crockpot and we had it with a big salad.

Of course took my fish oil, cod liver oil and vitamin D.

About 1030pm I will hit the zinc, magnesium, B6, and melatonin.
