* With regards to the 99% cacao chocolate yesterday, a square a day is fine to be had at my own discretion because I don't have weight loss goals. 100% cacao is ideal and I do have a bar of that. I decided that even tho I just bought a few bars of 99% cacao chocolate, I will steer clear of it as much as possible and use things like teas and maybe some of the "treat" recipes included in the detox manual instead. Yes, the antioxidants in extremely dark chocolate is good for you, but if I'm reaching for it to curb a sugar craving or due to stress, even if it's only one square a day, it kinda defeats the purpose of getting a grip on sugar cravings as does using it as a 'treatment' for stress.

Also, instead of justifying any foods that might not look to be 'allowed', just assume it is unless described as otherwise. My goal is 100% honesty in this. =)

9:45AM

- 3 Vanilla Pancakes cooked in coconut oil and topped with natural creamy almond butter (only contains almonds and salt) and a small sliced green tipped banana (I only used 1.5tsp of vanilla instead of the full 1T and added .5tsp cinnamon)

- Cup of decaf kombucha green tea

12:45PM

- 3 plantain chips (these are fried in palm oil (a healthy oil) with salt. Plantains aren't listed as a yes or no food in the detox, but due to their high starch content, it's best to steer clear. I just wanted to sample these and they were yummy. I'd totally take them over potato chips!)

- 3 Brazil nuts

2:30PM

- Chicken Salad: Medium chicken breast cooked in a little coconut oil, seasoned with salt and Mrs Dash and placed on romaine salad mix with a sliced celery stalk, 3 sliced baby carrots, 3 sliced white mushrooms, cucumber slices and dressed with a vinaigrette consisting of 2T EVOO, 1T white vinegar, juice of half a meyer lemon, minced garlic, oregano & basil

4:30PM

- Half a cup of sweet & spicy tea

6:40PM

- "Fettucini" with meat sauce: Noodles were made out of a yellow squash with a veggie peeler and cooked in coconut oil. Meat sauce consisted of ground beef, grated fresh garlic, basil, salt, pepper and chopped tomatoes. Also sliced up and threw in the seedy middle of the peeled squash

- Several spears of asparagus with salt

8:35PM

- The rest of the sweet & spicy tea from earlier
