TRAINING/ NUTRITION BLOG: 7/25/11

Tried a few deadlifts today, fairly light and in small sets. It has been about 6 weeks since I pulled a muscle doing them. First set went OK, but a few reps into the second, I felt a nice little twinge that tells me things are not healed, and that I just set myself back about another month.

Deadlifts
405 x 3
405 x 2

Did a few bent presses with the 40kg kettlebell and a few sets of windmills with the 24kg. That's it for today.

Nutrition Log...
6am-
300mg caffeine
648mg Korean ginseng
648mg Siberian ginseng

7am-
50gr whey protein
600mg fish oil

130pm-
Not the most healthy lunch, but it sure tasted good.
Bunch of yummy summer sausage from Montana, cheddar cheese and a whole bunch of raw almonds.
600mg fish oil

4pm-preworkout
2 scoops of Nutrex Hemo Rage (I can hear you laughing already. It is supposed to be the same as Jack3D, and it was 1/2 off. We'll see how it works out.)
648mg Korean ginseng
648mg Siberian ginseng

6pm-postworkout
1 banana
I didn't need much of a postworkout snack, because I didn't train enough to really deplete any glycogen stores, but I needed something in my stomach to take the 800mg of ibuprofen after the attempted deadlifts.

10pm-
Wife brought home some amazing honey mustard brats from Montana, so I grilled up a few of those. Had to wash that down with 24oz of beer.
Huge salad with a whole grilled chicken breast, onion, tomato, stuffed green olives, and baby spinach. This was topped with feta cheese and a Greek vinaigrette.
600mg fish oil
2 liver cleanse capsules

1045-
3mg melatonin
