one slice of pepperjack cheese

4pm-(preworkout)

1 tbsp coconut oil
1 whole large avocado with lime, salt and pepper
2 large grassfed hamburgers with pepperjack cheese, wrapped in lettuce (about 16oz total)
1 large baked potato with tons of sour cream and butter (both full fat, of course)
Small bowl filled with cherries, strawberries and blueberries
3600mg fish oil
1 cod liver oil capsule

(Yes, this was a pretty high-carb day! I'm not cycling carbs or anything so thoughtful, but I do find I need a day to refill the glycogen stores every few days of hard training, and tomorrow will be the toughest day of the week.)

About 1130pm, I will take 3 ZMA capsules, 3mg of melatonin and 5000iu vitamin D

So, yesterday I checked my blood pressure, which has always been slightly elevated. It has been in the high 130s over mid-high 80s. This has been the case every time I have ever checked it or had it checked, no matter how lean I was and how much exercise I was doing at the time. Doctors have always looked at my physical condition and just said that I would have to have meds to lower it someday.

I figured I would have the same result, and was shocked to see it was 121/81...I rechecked it again and again and it was still within a few points. Paleo diet is the only change. I don't exercise any more than at any other time in the past. I take lots of fish oil and eat tons of fat. No grains. No sugary crap.

I googled "paleo diet blood pressure" and found a laundry list of people whose blood pressure has dropped significantly after adopting a paleo diet. It was like a broken record. Either they are all lying, or...
