I think following a proven, general program is a very good idea at this point. I think one of the best general programs out there is Enter The Kettlebell by Pavel. It is very easy to follow, and I think it works well for about 90% of the people out there.
Look it up and buy the book and DVD. It will be the best $$$ you'll spend on fitness for quite some time to come.
