WORKOUT:

attempted long cycle jerk for 5 min ea hand but only did 4 min. Just didn't have it in me today. No worries....will be working extra hard to get ready for competition on Saturday. Going to do long cycle and snatch(as long as my hands hold up this week)

TRAINING/NUTRITION BLOG: 4/12/12

TRAINING:

20 minutes, alternating 10 Hindu pushups at the top of one minute, and 10 40kg kettlebell swings at the top of the next, for a total of 100 easy reps of each.

This was a very light workout, but the primary goal here was to loosen up the hamstrings a little and work on getting the speed back in the hip and knee extension. It was feeling a little slow the other day.

ONE OTHER THING

I know I am full of s**t so take anything I post in the spirit is which it is given. I don't post what I eat because you would be horrified to learn that my lunches at work consist of cauliflower, tuna, hot sauce and mustard (yellow). I am certainly no gourmet but it seems to work for me. It fills me up. I now drink nothing but water and herbal tea. THANKS RACHELLE

 I know I am a silly guy. I am actually taking this very seriously. It seems to me that the sugar detox is really just a more refined Paleo diet and I am treating it as such. At my age it is really hard to tell whether from day to day I actually feel better or not. I try not to worry about that and just forge ahead eating nothing but protein and veggies. At the advice of Jim and Rachelle I decided to up my food intake today. And it did make a difference. What do you know...eating more gives me more energy! HAPPY DAY!!!!

6 small chicken sausages

2 eggs cooked in butter

 

small handful of almonds

 

Lunch:

1/2 an avacado mixed in with chicken, mustard and garlic salt  over mixed veggies, and half a tomato

Rachelle, what do you mean "poop"? Jim B. told me that the main point of the 21 day sugar detox waterboarding diet was to not poop for the whole 21 days. Maybe I misunderstood him but when he first mentioned the diet to me and indicated it might help but told me I would have to give up sugar, bread, crackers, sugar, diet soda, sugar, and everything else I love to eat + sugar; I said "You've got to be Sh*##ing me."
