Today I felt better, combo of a chiropractic adjustment and adding some more salt into the day helped with the headache situation.  Weight on 8/23 189.4 down a little due to less inflammation.  I plan on swimming again once I get past the initial "low carb flu" phase as to not stress my body out even more.

Good strategy not to stress yourself when adjusting. And I hope the extra salt did help. That is one thing that many people forget when cutting carbs out. We've been told for so long to avoid salt that we get almost as bad as we were about avoiding fat.

People that eat lots of processed food and high carbs really can get too much sodium, but those that don't eat processed foods can actually be lacking in it. Even the USDA has backed off their warnings about the hazards of salt, though.

Dr. Steven Phinney, one of the major authorities on ketogenic diets, recommends up to 5000mg per day of salt. I tend to get about 4500 when I bother to keep tabs on it.
